We’re ranked number 1 in the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers 2024!

We’re thrilled to announce that we have been crowned the number 1 in England for the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers 2024.

After ranking at number 14 in the 2023 nationwide list, we’ve made significant improvements to their apprenticeship programme, earning the top spot this year.

The result is based on the impressive number of studiers who have started an apprenticeship at DJH in the last 12 months, the diversity of the apprentices who are recruited from a wide range of backgrounds, the variety of apprenticeships across the business from accounts and audit to marketing and IT, and the number of studiers who have successfully achieved an apprenticeship qualification in the last 12 months.

James Beardmore, Chief Operating Officer, said, “At DJH, we are dedicated to nurturing talent from the ground up by recruiting trainees from local schools, colleges, and universities. Our comprehensive apprenticeship programmes are designed to develop our team through all levels of the business.

“We provide extensive support to our apprentices, including fully funded training and study assistance, along with one-to-one coaching. This allows them to gain practical, hands-on experience alongside their academic studies, with dedicated paid study days to help them excel in their exams.”

Chris Rawlinson, Head of Learning and Development, who works closely with all studiers commented, “We are proud to support over 100 apprentices and studiers across the group. This ranking is a testament to our commitment to their development and our ongoing investment in their future.

“We ensure that our apprentices not only gain the necessary technical skills but also develop vital soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.”

Chris continued, “By fostering a culture of inclusivity and encouragement, we help our apprentices to reach their full potential and build successful careers within the industry. Being ranked number 1 is a demonstration to the support we offer and highlights the exceptional outcomes our apprentices achieve.”

The result comes off the back of 12 months of continued growth, including a series of acquisitions in late 2023. Notable additions to the Group include DTE Business Advisers in Bury, and Derby based accountancy and IT firm, Ashgates.
