Eggcellent turn out for Easter egg appeal

Everyone loves a chocolate treat at Easter, but not everyone is so lucky. That’s why, as our first community initiative as the newly merged DJH Mitten Clarke, we have put all our eggs in one basket to help donate as many Easter eggs as possible to The Gingerbread Centre.

Our team, clients and partners have been eggs-tremely generous and donated a grand total of 424 Easter eggs to vulnerable families in Stoke-on-Trent. After unprecedented support, some of the eggs will also be making their way to Staffordshire Children’s Hospital at Royal Stoke.

As part of the campaign to support The Gingerbread Centre, we have also made a cash donation of £1,205, after pledging an additional £5 for every egg donated by the DJH Mitten Clarke team. A cheque was presented to Chris Belyavin, Fundraiser at The Gingerbread Centre, along with the egg delivery.

Chris said, “it is amazing that companies like DJH Mitten Clarke offer support to charities in their community and I am so pleased that The Gingerbread Centre was top of the list for the newly merged accountancy firm. The Easter eggs will put big smiles on the faces of the families that we support.”

Paul Hulme, Executive Director of DJH Mitten Clarke, said “I am thrilled by the passion and community spirit of our fantastic team. Making a difference in our community is top of our agenda and it was great teamwork that brought the project together. We set ourselves an ambitious target, which I am proud that we went above and beyond, together as one big DJH Mitten Clarke team.”
