Candice takes on Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Alzheimer’s Society

Candice Beynon, Director of our Altrincham office, will attempt to scale Africa’s tallest mountain to help raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s Society.

A keen hiker, Candice has already begun her intense training in preparation for the hike that is self-funded, to ensure every penny raised will go directly to the charity. Candice will fly to Tanzania on 20 September, along with a challenger charity company, and has 6 days set aside to climb the 5,895m (19,340ft) mountain.

Speaking about the challenge, Candice said, “Those who know me well will know that hiking is my biggest passion – to sum me up I am never happier than when up a hill!

“For many years, it’s been a dream of mine to climb Kilimanjaro, and whilst this will be a personal bucket list achievement, I am raising money for a cause very close to my heart and in memory of my wonderful, beautiful Auntie Liz.”

Scott Heath, CEO, said, “Community is one of our cores values, and it’s incredibly important to us as a business that we actively support our team to give back, encouraging our team to raise funds for charity. It is fantastic to see Candice taking on such an incredible challenge. We’ll be cheering her on from the UK.”

Candice added, “On the 20th September, I’ll be fulfilling a dream and the money raised will help work towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.”
