Trudi Perry

After graduating with a Music degree, I decided on a change of direction and started training for ACCA at a local accountancy firm working on large group audits. I moved to DJH Halesowen (formerly Nicklin) after qualifying in 2006 and have worked here ever since.

When DJH Halesowen gained AISMA membership (Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants) shortly after my arrival, I transitioned to focus solely on GP surgery accounts. Healthcare is a challenging, ever-changing sector, which means there are always new things to learn and new people to meet – making my work incredibly interesting and rewarding.

• What makes DJH great is

  The feeling of having a shared goal and a real sense of teamwork within the group. It’s fantastic to work in an environment where everyone can access specialists and expert knowledge with ease across different branches – that collective expertise benefits everyone.

• My most trusted piece of advice in business is

  Build relationships with people – clients, colleagues, and associates. It’s not always just about the numbers. I believe it’s really important to understand the person you’re working with and know exactly what information and help they need from you.

• On a Saturday morning you'll usually find me

  I’d like to say relaxing and spending time with friends and family, but in reality, I’m usually catching up on housework and encouraging my two teenagers to do their homework before rushing them out to their dance classes in the afternoon! Family life is wonderfully chaotic, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
