Stuart Penny
Director, Wirral
My career began in computer programming, where I spent five years developing software for blue-chip companies before joining the firm in 2002. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006 and became a partner in 2009.
I manage a varied portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses and genuinely enjoy getting to know my clients. With the support of a strong team, we help clients navigate a wide range of business-related matters around accounts and tax. By building strong relationships, we’re able to offer advice that’s both tailored and personal.
Even after 20+ years in the accountancy profession, I still view every day as a learning opportunity. Having a team of specialists around me makes that ongoing learning both enjoyable and effective.

What makes DJH great is…
The team around me – everyone genuinely cares about the clients. Whether it’s discussing the best solutions or stepping in to support a colleague, there’s a real sense of collaboration and commitment across the board.
-
My most trusted piece of advice in business is…
Ask questions – no matter how silly they may seem. It’s often the simplest unasked questions that can lead to problems.

On a Saturday morning you'll usually find me…
Cooking breakfast for the family or playing golf (hopefully).
