Matthew Lawton

I joined the business back in 2015 and throughout that time I’ve worked with clients of all shapes and sizes. My background is in both accounts and audit, which has given me a great grounding when it comes to interpreting the numbers and advising clients.

Day to day I spend a lot of time advising clients on many different aspects such as tax planning, strategic decisions, M&A and other commercial advice to name a few.
I feel very lucky to get to work with the people and the businesses I do.

• My most trusted piece of advice in business is…

  It’s a little cliché but still very important- a business owner should make sure they are spending time working on the business, and not spending all their time working in the business.

  Whether that time is on planning for the future or looking for new opportunities, it is an essential part of being successful in business.

• On a Saturday morning you’ll usually find me…

  Either on walks, getting ready for a day trip somewhere or planning my next holiday!
