Martin Lanceley
Client Services Director, Chester
I have been working in accountancy general practice since 1993, following in my Father’s footsteps. I did try quite a few different career paths before moving into accountancy including tennis coaching and retail management, but realised that a career working with numbers was the best way of utilising my skills. I studied at Emile Woolf college in Manchester and qualified ACCA in 1997. I am also a member of ICAEW. This year I am celebrating 20 years at the Chester office! My specialist areas include VAT, Charity accounts and audit.

What makes DJH great is…
The business is built on many years of trusted advice to local and national businesses. Our reputation has grown over the years and our reach has extended to the far extremes of the UK including Elgin in Scotland right down to Truro in the South West. Although the team has changed over the last twenty years, a determined team spirit always remains with everyone striving to give a personal service to our clients.

My most trusted piece of advice in business is…
If something is working well for you, keep doing it. If it’s not, do something else.

On a Saturday morning, you’ll usually find me…
Saturday mornings for me are going to the gym, having a lesson on the golf course or sitting in a coffee shop.
