Lucy Moult
Client Services Director, Stoke
I began my career straight out of university, spending a year or two working alongside a self-employed bookkeeper. This experience provided me with a solid foundation in the basics of accountancy, but I quickly realised how much I still had to learn. Determined to deepen my expertise, I started my training from scratch with Mitten Clarke, who became DJH in 2024. I completed my ACA exams and proudly qualified as a chartered accountant in 2010. Building my knowledge and gaining hands-on experience with such a diverse range of clients has been incredibly rewarding—and it still excites me to this day! Learning is a lifelong journey, and I firmly believe that we never truly stop growing.
My role is wonderfully varied, and no two days are ever the same. I’m here to ensure that, as a team, we achieve the very best outcomes for our clients in all aspects of accountancy and tax. This encompasses everything from meeting compliance requirements to tax planning, future-proofing, and exit planning. I also help clients establish structures aligned with their business goals, assist in securing finance through the most suitable avenues, and so much more. Ultimately, we are here to support our clients in whatever way they need as they navigate their journey as business owners.
I absolutely love getting to know clients, it’s the best bit of what we do! I’ve always enjoyed talking. Every business is different, and the business owners have their own plans & dreams, and I love being able to be part of that.

What makes DJH great is…
It’s people, and the breadth of specialisms that those great people allow us to offer. As individuals we never know all of the answers, but we have some great teams within DJH and together, that makes for being able to be a great support to businesses.

My most trusted piece of advice in business is…
Not to repeat myself, but get great people! Having the best people, in the roles that suit them and their skillset makes the day to day challenges that being in business brings easier. It also means that business owners aren’t spending their time doing tasks that other people should be doing, allowing them to focus on being in the driving seat.

On a Saturday morning you’ll usually find me…
My weekends are usually spent watching my 2 boys football matches and going for walks. We are really lucky to live right on the edge of the Peak District and we make the most of it! Picnics or pubs always welcome.
