Kate Hughes

I joined the business in 2011 as a graduate trainee and was originally attracted to the firm as it had an excellent reputation for supporting businesses.

The firm has always supported my ambitions to develop a career in accountancy and offered me every opportunity to develop my skills. I was promoted in 2024 to be an audit partner specialising in owner-managed businesses, offering audit, accounting and general business advisory services to my clients.

One of the highlights of my role is developing our fantastic team here in Bury. From recruiting the new graduates to helping develop their skills alongside their studies it is a privilege to be able to be able to support the next generation of talent.

Since partnering with DJH in 2023 it has been apparent that they share the same passion for their teams and it has been great to collaborate with like-minded people.

  At an activity club with my children, or having recently started running early Saturday mornings give me a chance to get out and clear my head.
