Justine Twiss

I have over fourteen years’ experience working in Human Resources.  I am a strong HR generalist with experience in a broad range of industries, both in the public and private sector. Spending six years of my career working for a Local Authority, I have worked closely with Social Care and Corporate directorates, before moving on to work with Schools, Academies and Learning Services.

More recently, my work within private sector education saw a shift to working within a Further Education College, with a provision for Higher Education and Apprenticeships. For five years I worked with a strong focus on safer recruitment and safeguarding, becoming an expert in those areas and delivering training to managers across the College.

In 2013, I qualified with a CIPD Level 7 Certificate in Human Resource Management from Staffordshire University and eight years later, I returned to complete the Level 7 Diploma in HRM to enhance my existing qualifications.

With a passion for supporting businesses to make positive changes and meet their long-term goals, I believe that strong foundations in HR are essential. Working with organisations of all levels has allowed me to develop an adaptable approach to suit the circumstances of any business.

  Don’t make promises you can’t keep, I have learnt through my career that it is always better to manage expectations and then over-deliver where possible.

• On a Saturday morning, you’ll usually find me…

  Taking my children to classes and clubs, we have a very busy schedule on a Saturday! When clubs aren’t on we usually enjoy a lazy morning together eating breakfast and watching TV, whilst my husband is out at the local Parkrun.
