At university, I studied Geography and after completing my degree I started at teacher training college and quickly realised it wasn’t for me! My mum has always been a bookkeeper, which is probably the reason why I ended up in accountancy.

I joined the Chester office in 2009 after I had just qualified as an accountant and have been here ever since. I get the opportunity to work with lots of different clients in both accounts and tax, at different stages in their careers which I really enjoy. As I have been here for a number of years its really nice to see clients you have worked with progressing from associates to dental practice owners and seeing how their careers have progressed.

  Without a doubt it’s the team. People are always supportive of each other and the amount of knowledge and expertise that different people bring is great. It means we are able to provide a well-rounded service to our clients which supports them throughout their whole career.

• My most trusted piece of advice in business is…

  Always be honest. If you and your team are honest with each other and listen to each other’s comments and feedback, then you are in the best place to succeed.

• On a Saturday morning, you’ll usually find me…

  Having a nice home cooked breakfast before tackling the cleaning!

  You might find me half way around Cheshire Oaks after that, getting some well deserved retail therapy.
