David Wright

Director, Halesowen

I started my accountancy career in 1983 as an Accounting Apprentice, completing my professional qualifications ten years later and progressing to ownership in the late 1990s. That role expanded and grew over a 30-year period, and having joined the DJH group in 2025 following the partnership with Nicklin, my enthusiasm for business is as keen as it has ever been.

Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about providing business and advisory services to owner-managed businesses and their families, helping them plan for sustainable futures and achieve their long-term goals.

  • What makes DJH great is

The core practices of supporting owner-managed businesses and their families continue to be at the heart of how we work together as a team at DJH. It’s this focus on genuine partnership and long-term relationships that sets us apart in the marketplace.

  • My most trusted piece of advice in business is

The right customer is always right! If you work hard to deliver the services that your best customers want and expect, then you will be successful. It’s about understanding what truly matters to your clients and consistently exceeding those expectations.

  • On a Saturday morning you'll usually find me

Catching up with my music, which is mostly influenced by The Beatles and anything that Paul Weller has recorded or recommended over the last 45 years. Music has been a constant source of inspiration throughout my life, and Saturday mornings are perfect for discovering something new or revisiting old favourites.
