I have loved what I do since 1991, back when I started as a 16 year old apprentice in accountancy. I am a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor providing a full range of services to my clients. When Novis & Co joined DJH in February 2023, I knew that working together would bring massive benefit to the team and clients alike.

My approach is to become a solid sounding board for clients and get actively involved in their business planning and strategy. I work with a wide range of clients and across many industries and I do look after a large portfolio of clients in property. Variety is the spice of life!

  It is definitely the people! Everyone pulls together and we are a big team all with the same passion for the company, clients and services we offer. DJH is always striving to do better and be better.

• My most trusted piece of advice in business is…

  Always make time to work on the business rather than in the business. Sometimes you have to step away from the coal face and look at the bigger picture. This can feel a little bit uncomfortable for some small business owners but undoubtedly yields rewards.

• On a Saturday morning you’ll usually find me…

  So after a week in the office I like to get moving. This is normally walking with my dogs, doing an early morning strength class or running round the shops. I am always up early no matter the day so I tend to get loads done before the teenagers surface!
