Welcome to the Class of 2021

The DJH Mitten Clarke team continues to grow as we welcome seven fresh faces as trainees from local schools, colleges and universities.

We have always taken pride in our fantastic trainee programme, but following a period of rapid growth, the intake in 2021 has more than doubled demonstrating our continued commitment to apprenticeships and investment in young people from across North Staffordshire.

Client Services Director, Lisa Jones, said “We’re always on the lookout for stars of the future and nurturing talent at the very start of their careers is a key part of our strategy for building a high-performing team.”

“Our people are our biggest asset and we’ve built a team that we’re extremely proud of, many of which have been through our trainee programme. We work closely with colleges and universities, to make introductions and build relationships allowing us to identify the perfect people to join us early on. As the business grows it’s important that our trainee programme does too.”

The class of 2021 are made of four AAT trainees; Emilia Furreddu joining from Newcastle College, Jake Moore and Chloe Chidlow from Stoke Sixth Form, and Jessica Lewer from Reaseheath College, along with three ACA audit trainees; Kieran Hughes joining from Staffordshire University, and Rimenpreet Basi and Aaliyah Nawaz from Keele University.

The investment in our trainees and their learning doesn’t stop there, we have also made huge strides in the training experience with the appointment of Learning & Development Coordinator, Chris Rawlinson who joins from Newcastle College.

A newly created role, Chris will be on-hand to help, support & develop members of the practices team who are studying, as well as creating a training programme for the wider business so that everyone has the opportunity for growth.

Chris commented, “Following a fantastic thirteen years at Newcastle College the time was right to move on. I am very much looking forward to using my experience and knowledge to provide support and guidance to the studiers at DJH Mitten Clarke, as well as driving the all-important Learning & Development culture across the company. This is a key ingredient to our strategy and core values.”

The intake of the trainees and their mentor, comes following the news of 20 appointments already made across our Stoke-on-Trent office since March and takes the total headcount to 141, with plans for further recruitment over summer.
