MSD are now DJH Ireland

Earlier this year, we announced our first Irish partnership with MSD Accountants, which has been operating in Dublin since 1990. We’re now thrilled to share that they have officially rebranded to DJH Ireland!

It’s been a successful first 6 months of partnership, with MSD already seeing growth as a result of increased capacity and specialisms in corporate finance, IT and HR, whilst our UK team has also benefited from the cross-border expertise.

The Dublin team becoming the first DJH office in Ireland is the start of an exciting new journey for us as we plan to acquire more offices across Ireland.

Richard Daly, DJH Ireland Director, said “We are really excited about the rebranding to DJH Ireland and adopting the systems and back-up support the group offers.”

“Our clients have unanimously approved of the acquisition, and this is the natural progression that was agreed as part of the deal. From a day-to-day perspective, we’ve already seen lots of business referrals, where we are picking up work from our partners in the UK and, vice versa, our existing clients are benefitting from specialists in Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester and Leeds.”

He continued: “There’s a lot of consolidation in the Irish accountancy market and we believe the fastest way to grow is to embark on our own M&A strategy, identifying practices that share similar values of client service and trust or bring a different specialist service to our offering.”

“The backing of DJH and its track record in acquisitions has definitely increased the pace of our plans and we are actively looking at new opportunities ready to move forward in 2026.”

The Ireland team provide expertise in advisory, assurance, business support services and tax to subsidiaries of multinationals, mid-size private companies, family businesses and large organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions.

The team work across a broad range of sectors, including professional services, entertainment, hospitality, construction, automotive, distribution, information technology and communications.

The partnership has also provided a natural bridge to serving clients in both Ireland and the UK.

Scott Heath, CEO, commented: “MSD is our first acquisition in Ireland, and it has been a great addition to the DJH family, with lots of joint opportunities secured and new service offers for our clients.

“The rebranding was always part of the partnership and will give DJH an important first presence in Dublin and the wider Irish accountancy market.”

Brendan Murtagh, DJH Ireland Director, added “2026 is going to be an exciting year for the business. Existing clients are growing with us and requiring more financial support, whilst we have seen numerous opportunities emerge from our other offices in the UK.

“This means we need more people, so we’ve just pressed the button on a recruitment campaign to take on three new accountancy specialists.”

As part of the rebrand, we’ve launched a brand-new website – djh-ireland.com, providing content specifically tailored to our Irish clients.

The MSD team has become the sixth office to take on the DJH name in 2025, following Nicklin in Halesowen, Ashgates in Derby and Haines Watts Liverpool, Wirral & Chester.
