Game-changing mental health support launched for our team

After the last few years of the Covid roller-coaster, life has been tough for everyone, but some more so than others.

The charity Mind revealed that more people are experiencing mental health challenges than ever, with the number of calls to their support line doubling on some occasions.

This data is frightening, and it is pretty clear to us that we need to do all that we can to support our team whatever their mental health needs may be.

Cue our friends over at Spectrum Life

We are pleased to announce, that after much research to find the perfect match, we’ve partnered with Spectrum Life to provide 24/7 mental health support, counselling, therapy and coaching to every member of our team across the Great Things Together Group.

Operations Director, James Beardmore said “The mental health epidemic is all too real, and can impact anyone. Our number one priority is our team, so supporting them through whatever challenge they may face in their lives is fundamental. And Spectrum Life allows us to do just that. The team not only have access to counselling and therapy, they have the option to receive parenting coaching, career advice and financial guidance, plus access to fitness and dietary support.”

James continued, “Many businesses train members of the team as Mental Health First Aiders, however from our experience people don’t always feel comfortable sharing personal information with colleagues, especially if it’s someone they may not have a rapport with. The hope is, that the new service will allow our team to proactively take care of their mental health and wellbeing, making them happier.”

This is just our latest addition to our people, wellbeing and benefits strategy, with so much more available to make sure every member of our team feels happy, healthy and valued. Ultimately, we want to create the very best place to work so this is yet another step in the right direction.
